About Us
CareGen was launched to address the widespread issue of excessive waiting times currently being faced by individuals and families in the UK, who are seeking an autism assessment. Our mission is to make high quality assessments more inclusive and accessible for all, with most children being seen within a few weeks of initial referral.
CareGen offers private diagnostic services specialising in autism assessments.
We offer an alternative service for people who:
- Are waiting for an autism assessment
- Have concerns that their child or an individual may have autism
- Have had an autism diagnosis but would like support post diagnosis
Our team of specialist clinicians have a combined 15 years+ of experience providing assessment and support for people with autism spectrum disorder and combine their independent practice with part time work in the NHS. Our clinicians are members of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and other relevant professional bodies and our assessments are in accordance with National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.
At CareGen we are pleased to offer online assessments that can be attended at a time that is convenient and from a space where your child and family feel most comfortable. Our online assessments take place over a series of video calls and follow a similar structure to in-person assessments. We have appointments available during the evening and weekend to limit disruption to school and work life.
