Free Clinical Appointment with an Autism Specialist
We at CareGen are happy to provide FREE Clinical Appointments with an Autism Specialist to parents and individuals. All of our clinicians also work in NHS autism services so can support you with a wide variety of difficulties you or your loved one may be experiencing.
These appointments usually last 30 minutes and provides a space for parents and individuals to ask questions to our highly trained clinicians. in addition, the clinician will try to support you in developing strategies that may be useful and also attempt to sign post you to different services that may be able to support you further in your local area.

Formal Assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Our formal assessment for autism spectrum disorder will involve three main appointments. One to collect information about you and your child’s developmental history and background information. Another appointment will be a clinical observation of the child by two specialist clinicians. This may include an ADOS assessment which will be administered via video link and from the comfort of your own home. The third appointment is the feedback session where the clinicians will inform you of the outcome of the assessment.

Post-Diagnosis Psychological Sessions
Our psychological therapy sessions are aimed at providing post-diagnosis interventions to both parents and the individual. This could be to support with a number of difficulties you may be experiencing, such as difficulties with anxiety and depression. You will be seen by a Psychologist for 5 session and this will be a mixture of direct work with the individual and parents.
These sessions are carried out via video link and involves the clinician identifying the strengths and personal interests of the individual, whilst highlighting the areas where support is needed. The aim of the therapeutic sessions are to provide intervention for the difficulties you may be experiencing, as well as providing a tailored and accurate clinical report of an individual’s needs and strategies so that they can be supported by others in a person-centred way.
Once sessions are complete, the Psychologist will produce a detailed Autism Profile. Our autism profile is a detailed clinical report that is designed to help education, employment and care settings to better understand how an individual’s autism affects them.
