Post-Diagnosis Psychological Sessions
At CareGen, we are pleased to be able to offer Post-Diagnosis support for those formally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Currently, this support consists of 5 therapeutic sessions with a Psychologist.
What are the Autism Focused Psychological Sessions?
Our psychological therapy sessions are aimed at providing post-diagnosis interventions to parents and individuals. This could be to support with a number of difficulties you may be experiencing, such as difficulties with anxiety and depression. You will be seen by a Psychologist for 5 sessions and this will be a mixture of direct work with the individual and parents.
How can these sessions help?
The aim of the therapeutic sessions are to provide intervention for the difficulties you may be experiencing, as well as providing a tailored and accurate clinical report of an individual’s needs and strategies so that they can be supported by others in a person-centred way.
Who can access these session?
- Anyone that is formally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (please note the clinician will require a copy of this report in order to begin developing an Autism Profile)
- Anyone between the ages of 7-65 years old
How will these sessions be delivered?
These sessions are carried out via Zoom and involves the clinician identifying the strengths and personal interests of the individual, whilst highlighting the areas where support is needed.
What will I get in the end?
- A detailed clinical report of your loved ones needs and strategies on how to better support them in relation to their Autism and how this can effect them day to day.
- This report is produced by a trained Autism specialists and can be used to support you or your loved one accessing further support in the future.
